The Forgotten City
Kaskaskia, the forgotten city, came to light during the Total Solar Eclipse of 2024, and the 7-Year Tav Mark.
Kaskaskia was a people whose name meant "katydid," (which have 6400 different species), and reminds us of another singing insect, the cicada, which will have a massive double emergence in the same area of Kaskaskia, and at the same time as the Eclipse Event.
Kaskaskia was the region's most influential river town, bigger than St Louis in its day, but would be cut off by a natural event, making it an island overnight, and sealing its future.
Kaskaskia flooded, and then was eaten away by the Mighty Mississippi River, until it was separated from its own state, which is its condition today.
But Kaskaskia would make two lasting contributions. One is that it was forever be known as the first capital city of the 21st state, Illinois, and two, with its connections to 400, would produce the one event that would stop slavery the world over.
With the Tav Mark, the Double Emergence, and Little Egypt, Kaskaskia would be pointed out by God's sign to be a forgotten city no more.
The Forgotten City At Sea
The United States Navy would bring honor to the lost city by giving its name. and that of its original peoples, to a wartime ship: the USS Kaskaskia.
This vessel was one of six fleet oilers that changed the course of WWII in the Pacific. These supply ships enabled the naval fleet to accomplish their mission by consistently delivering fuel to operate in the Pacific theater.
The Kaskaskia transported oil between West Coast ports of the United States and Pearl Harbor six times she made an oil run to Johnson Island in 1941. She went immediately into action out of San Francisco after Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
She continued fueling operations to the Marshall Islands, and then fueled destroyer escorts for the invasion of Saipan. Visiting such sites as Guam, Taiwan, and the Philippines in her duties.
After WWII, the Kaskaskia saw action in the Korean conflict.
Then she finished off a 6-month stint in the Mediterranean, and finally ending up serving in Mayport, Florida.
Her final operation was to assist the recovery team for an unmanned Apollo space flight in 1966.
USS Kaskaskia Honored
The Kaskaskia was constructed to be a fast oiler cruising at 18 knots with double screws, to be able to steam with the fast carriers, compared to the single screw 14-knots versions elsewhere.
Six of these ships operated in the Pacific theater.
The battle hardened oiler received nine battle stars for service rendered in World War II and seven stars for its Korean War contributions, ensuring that the name Kaskaskia would be forgotten no more.
