Why the Real Anti-Christ is the Replacement Christ and Not the "Antichrist" (Post 3 - The False Prophet)

Updated: May 8, 2024

POLAR OPPOSITES?

Little children, it is the last hour;

and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming,

even now many antichrists have come,

by which we know that it is the last hour.

1 John 2:18

We have called him the antichrist for decades. The one who comes into power in the Great Tribulation. We know he is an opposing Christ, or at least that is what we have been taught. But is he really an opposite?

We think of the antichrist as a false Christ who is opposite of Christ in every way. We imagine he opposes every single thing Christ stands for, that is, every commandment, action, and word.

If Christ says, “love your enemy”, then the opposing Christ would be expected to say, “hate your enemies." We would never expect to see one line of thought in agreement between Jesus and the Antichrist; as if they were polar opposites.

The only this is that is not exactly true.

The definition of "anti" is:

  • opposite

But it also can be defined as:

  • instead of,

  • in return for,

  • over against,

  • in exchange for,

  • as a substitute for

BUT WHAT IF?

But what if the anti-Christ is not just apolar opposite of Jesus but instead, he is an unforeseen ‘replacement’ Jesus. Then he would be similar yet distorted, or different, from the real Christ.

He could agree with some things and sound similar and feel familiar.

He would add a little dirt with water.

He will be a copy of the true Christ but with a distortion. A simulacrum.

THE REPLACEMENT JESUS

In this context, the anti-Christ is a replacement Christ. He looks and acts like Christ, but replaces Jesus in the end times scenario.

This is a reasonable consideration that the antichrist is a displacer of Christ and instead of an opposite version of Him. the anti-Christ will feel very 'similar' to the Lord but have a distortion, which is where the simulacrum will be manifested.

This distortion will not be identified early on and will be a perfect fit in the unholy trinity.

It appears the following verse has application as we read:

I have come in My Father’s name,

and you do not receive Me (the true Christ);

if another comes in his own name (the antichrist),

him you will receive.

John 5:43

That leads to us to the next bombshell revelation.
